Always a lone caregiver who has no SAY so in it all- Seek God for His will and not your WILL!

I am getting excited about the 5 Wishes presentation tomorrow at Jackson's Cafeteria here in Rock Hill.  I am excited because there are people who want to have a say so in how things are done if they should get sick and need decisions to be made.
It makes me happy because just last week I was dealing with a family that the mother has 8 children and almost every child had a different thing they wanted done-- so often the other family comes from other cities to tell the "lone" sibling that is doing it all for mom -- but they want to give their opinions.  They want to TRUMP what the caregiver is really saying and it isn't always what the patient wants.  You see people need to know that young people die also-- or "go down" at work, at home in the street and if you don't want people fighting over how anything happens to you--- you may want to do a Living will while you are healthy and in your right mind.

To let you know about the family update-- they have decided to have a feeding tube put in and "see how things go"-- the MD has said she may or may not come through the surgery for the feeding tube.  The lone caregiver had asked the siblings to let nature take its place and think of what Mama would want......

I always say...think of what the patient would want and go from there-- Seek God in those decisions and be sure you are seeking God for His will and not yours!
