CROP WALK today was cold- How about a drive thru food drop off in November? Will u help? @Agape_Senior

Today Agape Senior was one of the sponsors of the 35th annual Crop Walk- a 3 mile walk starting at Winthrop University and around a small part of town. I saw people from all walks of life-- all socio-economic backgrounds- people I went to school with and lots of new people from the local area and from out of town.  I did a two hour shift that didn't incorporate walking into the shift, but I got to thinking on the way home.

The Crop Walk is an event that has one sole purpose and that is to RAISE money and awareness about HUNGER and working to STOP it!  Oh yeah-- back to what I was thinking.  I was thinking about how many of our hospice patients we have that use our FOOD PANTRY that our TEAM put together to help our patients--and how many we actually take groceries to that are in need.  It is scary to think that people at the age of many of our patients that have given and given and given of time, work, energy and life and still need basic necessities such as canned goods-.  So I am going to plan a FOOD drive-- a DRIVE thru FOOD Drop off--in November and will need your HELP!!! I am thinking I will set up at one of our easy entry easy exit facilities and have people simply hand the groceries out of the window.  What do you think?
