Here are a few BRA facts
How often should you wear a bra?
You can double the life of a bra with proper wear and care. Wearing guidelines: Wear two times in between washings. Rotate bras – do not wear the same bra on consecutive days. Bras need to rest in between.
How long should a bra last?
A good quality bra can last several years but most t-shirt bras are more vulnerable due to the sensitive nature of Lycra. At Intimacy, we believe that having a wardrobe of quality made bras that are comfortable with right fit is key to maintain longevity of the bras you own.
What's the best way to wash/care for a bra?
Care is very important in maintaining the firmness and fit of your bras, especially t-shirt bras made primarily of Lycra-based materials that can degrade the fibers with harsh detergents and heat from dryers. Use a lingerie sensitive wash with cool water and a gentle cycle in a lingerie bag or preferably hand wash. Hang to dry. Never use a dryer.
How many bras should each woman have?
At Intimacy, we believe a woman should have 5-7 good working bras that they really enjoy wearing. The problem is most women wear only half the bras they own because they don't fit, don't like the style, or they're plain uncomfortable.
A woman's bra size will change during her lifetime. When do most women need to be properly fitted?
Women's breasts will change shape size and distribution at least 6 times in their lives from weight gain or loss, diet/exercise, pregnancy/nursing, hormone related medications such as HRT or birth control, and aging. Rather than labor over body challenges, women should come in for a fitting after any major changes in weight, childbirth, and even life changes. There's no reason to struggle or suffer from poor body image resulting from a few extra pounds or a loss of firmness that will happen with aging. http://www.freep.com/story/life/shopping/2014/10/12/bra-fitting-wearing-guidelines/17148915/
