Closing in on January 9th-- are you in? Agape Senior is hosting a community wide blood drive from 10am-1pm and I need you to be on the CBCC RV in the @Agape Senior parking lot at 1326 Ebenezer Road Rock Hill, SC 29730. I wanted to take a moment to share a story with you, but before I share it-- I wanted to tell you this. I asked a few people if they would be able to donate blood and they said nah-- they didn't like to do that. Really-- why not? Just don't think I really need to do it. I tried to explain to them how important it is to donate blood as it really is a lifesaver. They declined. I asked them to spread the word for me.
Later I got an email letting me know that a co-worker would be coming with "bells on"-- hmmm-- why are you so excited to be giving? She said almost tearing up-- blood donations are what gave me an extra year or so to spend with my mother before she died. -- My mother had to keep having blood transfusions to keep her alive and that extra year meant a lot to me-- "Me giving up a pint and a little time--- isn't anything when it comes to helping give someone else time with a family member.Amanda Payne-- Thanks I look forward to seeing you.
