November is Hospice & Palliative Awareness month- Myth#5, but she doesn't have CANCER!

This is the main MYTH I hear almost daily.  My family member can not use those services they are sick but they don't have CANCER!

Myth: Hospice is only for cancer patients.Reality: A large number of hospice patients have congestive heart failure, Alzheimer's disease or dementia, chronic lung disease, or other conditions.-- any disease that is life limiting can be considered with hospice services. Don't be fooled ask questions-
